Correlation Between Left Atrial Indices and Left Ventricular Diastolic Function Among Hypertensive Patients

چکیده
Purpose: To compare LA indices and cardiac among hypertensive with left ventricular diastolic dysfunction
Methodology: It is an echocardiographic based descriptive cross-sectional study. A total of 200 patients were recruited from the cardiology clinics using systematic sampling method.
Results: The mean age study population was 58.7 ±13.96 (58.42±13.29 for Hypertensives) years while median 59years.The female to male ratio 1:6. Majority cases had isolated dysfunction n=149 (74.5%), thirty-six (18%) normal systolic functions 7.5% combined (n=15). Left atrial maximum volume correlated significantly E/E Prime (P= 0.003) E/A Ratio 0.003). While pre-A wave (P=0.025), diameter did not correlate IVRT, E/E’, ratio.
Unique Contribution Theory, Policy Practice: Among E/E’ positively all phasic volumes compared ratio. LV mass independently predicted volumes.

Diastolic left ventricular functional indices: Comparison between gated myocardial perfusion SPECT and echocardiography
Introduction: Many patients have only diastolic dysfunction without any abnormality in systolic function. We compared cardiac diastolic parameters obtained by gated myocardial perfusion SPECT (Gated SPECT) with those evaluated by echocardiography. Methods: Forty-nine patients (aged 37-85 years, 19 males and 30 women) underwent Gated SPECT and echocardiogr...
متن کاملLeft ventricular diastolic function in essential hypertensive patients: influence of age and left ventricular geometry.
PURPOSE To evaluate diastolic dysfunction (DD) in essential hypertension and the influence of age and cardiac geometry on this parameter. METHODS Four hundred sixty essential hypertensive patients (HT) underwent Doppler echocardiography to obtain E/A wave ratio (E/A), atrial deceleration time (ADT), and isovolumetric relaxation time (IRT). All patients were grouped according to cardiac geomet...
متن کاملassessment of correlation of left ventricular diastolic functional indices between gated myocardial perfusion spect and echocardiography
conclusions in this study there is no correlation between the main lv diastolic indices derived by spect and echocardiography, may be due to the main changes in the last version of guidline for assessment of lv diastolic function by echocardiography. results the population study consisted of 19 male and 30 female with the average age of 58.2 years.there is a mild negative correlation between pf...
متن کاملDoppler echocardiographic indices of left ventricular diastolic function
The influence of age on six Doppler echocardiographic indices of left ventricular diastolic function was assessed in 86 normal volunteers aged from 20 to 74 years (mean 36). Five of the six indices showed a linear relation with age. Duration of isovolumic relaxation and maximal late diastolic (atrial) flow velocity increased significantly with age (r = 0-34 and r = 0-69, respectively). Converse...
متن کاملMitral flow derived Doppler indices of left ventricular diastolic function.
AIMS Left ventricular diastolic dysfunction has been proposed as the basis of heart failure in patients with normal left ventricular systolic function. Doppler indices of mitral inflow have been widely used to diagnose this condition and have been shown to correlate well with increased left atrial pressure in patients with cardiovascular disease. We wanted to establish age-specific criteria for...
